Matti Ruippoled TAMK Musiikki's music technology teaching program in 2004–2017. He is the degree supervisor of the higher degree program in Music. In addition to technological topics, he teaches music education technology, mobile music learning, inclusive music technology and web-based music teaching. Matti Ruippo is a pioneer of music education technology in Finland and started his career at the end of the 1980s. He has led the music technology curriculum work of music schools. He also chaired the ISME (International Society for Music Education) music technology group and was a member of the AEC–SMS working group on teacher education in the digital age. In addition, he has worked as a teacher trainer and organized national music technology pedagogy seminars in Finland since the 1990s. In 1995, Matti Ruippo started the first distance learning music projects in Finland, and thus has long-term expertise in web-based music pedagogy.
